See-through colours, and glass you can look through
A See-through slider under the palette makes a colour or a picture see-through, from solid to 95%: for glass, water or a part you want to see half. The glass of the standard windows and doors is see-through already, and a PNG with see-through parts is cut out where it is see-through. glTF, OBJ and FBX exports carry it.

Relief you can see, and print with a progress bar
Height maps now work like displacement maps: middle grey is the surface, white comes out and black goes in by the relief depth. The view shows the depth with a light that turns with the camera, the depth field says what it comes to on the print at your scale, and carving a large model shows a progress bar.

Palettes: edit your swatches in place, kept in your account
Add a colour with the + at the end of the palette, change one with the pencil, remove one with the cross. Palettes live in your account and travel with your model. The colour square now always shows the colour you paint with.

New
Any colour, and palettes of your own
Pick any colour by hue, saturation and brightness, or type a hex code. Keep colours in palettes of your own, and import palettes from GIMP, Adobe, Krita, Lospec and Paint.NET.

New
SVG to 3D
Turn a drawing into a model: raised, engraved or cut through, on a plate or alone, a part per colour. As a free tool on the site, and as a plugin in the editor.
-
New
WAZO3D in Spanish, and the manual in four languages
The site and the editor speak Spanish now. The manual is there in English, Dutch, German and Spanish, with the choice of language in its top right corner.

New
A tour: build a birdhouse
New to WAZO3D? A short tour in ten steps builds a birdhouse with you, and points at what helps on the way. Find it under Help.

New
Components that click on a grid
Give a component a grid, square or hexagonal, and its copies land on it and turn a quarter at a time: tiles for a dungeon, a marble run or modules.
-
New
Free tools: gears and 3D letters
Make a gear or a name in 3D on the site, without an account, and download it as STL to print.
-
New
A plugin editor
Write your own plugin in a window of its own, with completion and checks, and see it work in the editor the moment you commit it.
-
New
Add-ons in your account
Plugins and content packs live on the site now. Install them in your account, switch them on in My add-ons, and they come with you to every browser.
-
New
Content packs and adjustable parts
Share your components as a pack, and give a part settings — width, height, number of bars — so others can make it to measure.

Fixed
Large models no longer stumble
A model of tens of thousands of faces took seconds for every change. Now an edit and its redraw take a fraction of a second.
